TROUBLESHOOTING: What if it DOESN'T turn into gum?

TROUBLESHOOTING: What if it DOESN'T turn into gum?

Sometimes there is someone who struggles get their piece of Spruce Gum gummy. It either dissolves or they end up with pieces of spruce pitch all over their mouth. What can be done?

That ain't fun, but I'm here to help you! Here are 5 tips and tricks that have helped many of our customers get their Spruce Gum GUMMY!

WHAT YOU CAN TRY:

Watch this video or follow the suggestions below:

Try another piece or two.

Keep it in one side of your mouth, warming and working the pieces together. Some folks need to try a few times before they get the hang of it as it is a technique.

Allow it to warm up in your mouth for a few minutes before chewing it.

People can often skip the intense shattering phase by simply doing this.

Drink a hot drink

Either tea, coffee or hot water, drink it while holding your piece of gum in your mouth and allowing the hot liquid soften the gum. This can take a few minutes but makes the shatter less intense.

Chew more aggressively!

We've had some folks chew too gingerly and so it took forever for it to turn gummy. Once we said to chew more aggressively it came together much quicker.

Swallow or spit out your excess saliva and keep chomping!

You will create lots of excess saliva once you start chewing, and this can make it challenging to not let all the little pieces of Spruce Gum get washed down your throat.

Keep the pieces in one side of your mouth and swallow the excess saliva, while chewing, working and massaging the pieces together until they begin sticking to one another and forming a gum.

Why does it sometimes not turn into gum?

Because our Spruce Gum is a pure product of nature it could be a number of things: the PH of the person's mouth; perhaps they were just drinking alcohol; maybe they just finished eating something cold; maybe it's simply because they just don't have the technique yet; or, maybe there's another reason that we're not aware of.

Be assured that we personally test each batch to ensuring that our customers receive the best chewing experience possible.

However, if you happen to be one of those people who just couldn't get it gummy, no shame! Please reach out to us at support@ambergoo.store and we will see how we can help you :)

Thanks for sticking around ;-)
