Tallow Contains Fatty Acids Nearly Identical to Human Skin Oils
Grass-fed tallow is rich in oleic, palmitic, and stearic acids — the same types of lipids found in our skin’s natural sebum.
Because of this, tallow absorbs easily and helps the skin repair its protective moisture barrier without clogging pores.
Why it matters: When the skin barrier is supported, redness and dryness go down naturally.
Naturally High in Vitamin A (Retinoid Family)
Grass-fed tallow contains retinol, the biologically active form of Vitamin A, which is known to support skin cell turnover and collagen maintenance.
Dermatology recognizes Vitamin A as one of the most effective nutrients for:

- Skin renewal
- Overall “healthy glow”

Works wonders. Best lip balm I have actually. My only feedback is that the tallow could have used one more render. It tasted slightly “beefy” but not gross.
It's comforting to know that Amber-Goo's products are straight from Nature and made with great care. Since I discovered the Lip Bomb, I keep it at the ready as my preferred remedy.
I'm on my third order of Spruce Gum. Knowing it's a Healthy Chew and sustains good oral health. Knowing that there's no additives is a positive too!
I experimented with the Yak Bomb, particularly in these very dry winters and more so here where I work. I applied the product on one of my legs and left my other leg without application. Using the Yak Bomb kept my skin moist/natural, as opposed to my other leg which was flaky and dry. Thanks!

Love this product, all natural and you don’t need to use it continiously
The Honey and Yak tallow lip balm is so nice for chapped lips. It's not sticky, and has a smooth texture. I especially love that it's handmade by two young, hardworking albertan girls
