What to Expect
Gum will SHATTER once chewed, but keep in one side of your mouth and continue chewing! In about 30 seconds you should have one of the wildest pieces of chewing gum!
Store your chewed piece in your bag or tin until ready to chew again.
RE-CHEW up to 3 days/5-9 hours (or longer if you can!)
You will know your piece is done being chewed when it becomes either too tough to chew, or won't come back together into a gum.
Ingredients
ONE INGREDIENT GUM: Canadian *Spruce Pitch. Zero additives.
*Primarily Black and Red Spruce pitch with traces of Pine and Tamarack pitch. May contain traces of natural debris.
Fun Facts
It was the 1800's SPRUCE GUM that got the world's chewing gum market rolling! In 2023 the world wide chewing market was estimated to be $27.8 Billion!
In the 1840s, John Curtis from Maine started boiling and packaging spruce gum and selling it under names like “State of Maine Pure Spruce Gum.” His small factory is credited as the world’s first chewing gum factory.
Traditionally, spruce gum was chewed for aiding digestion as it really gets the saliva flowing.
Chewing a firmer piece of gum helps to strengthen your jaw muscles, thus giving you a more defined jawline!
Traditionally, spruce pitch was believed to have powerful antibacterial properties and was used to make an incredible salve (check out our AmberGoo Bomb!) that rivalled the healing abilities of raw honey and colloidal silver as seen in these studies, 1, 2.

Storage
Store at room temperature out of direct sunlight. If you don't the pitch will melt!
CAUTION: Don't close lid too tightly as residue from the Spruce Gum resin can get into the seams of the lid and make it difficult to open.

I have great memories of my father collecting spruce gum during our forest walks in Nova Scotia and I was thrilled to see this product and gifted it to him for Christmas. He loved the idea of it and we had great laughs and reminisced together but when he tried the gum he was very clear it was nothing like the spruce pitch he collected in texture and found it to be more like a taffy that might pull out his fillings than a gum he remembered chewing from the trees.
Love it. The taste, the texture. Way better than chewing on plastic!
Unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction. Also little pieces would get stuck in my teeth and could only be removed with floss and floss pick.
I'm sorry to hear about your allergic reaction and that the pieces didn't come together for you. That's not a fun experience!
Thank you, though, for giving it an honest shot.
Warm regards,
~Amber
It never came unfortunately...
Nice to have some gum without having to search it out and pry it off the tree! It's been years since I've been able to find any "wild" gum for myself. No bark either! Bonus!
Haha, yes! So happy you appreciate the ease and simplicity of our AmberGoo Spruce Gum! No bark and as close to nature as one can get!
Thanks so much for your support and 5-star review Roberta :)
