*Ingredients: Primarily Canadian Spruce pitch with traces of Pine and/or Tamarack pitch. May contain natural debris and organic matter. (The powder covering the gum is fine powder from the pitch itself.)
This 30g Tin contains 20-28 pieces = 60-75 days worth of chewing!
CAUTION: Don't close lid too tightly as residue from the Spruce Gum resin can get into the seams of the lid and make it difficult to open.
Store at room temperature out of direct sunlight
DISCLAIMER:
The odd time there is someone who struggles to get their piece of Spruce Gum into a gummy consistency. It either dissolves or they end up with pieces of spruce pitch all over their mouth...
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
-Watch this short video for 3 tips on getting it to gum.
-Try another piece or two! Keep it in one side of your mouth, warming and working the pieces together.
-Chew more aggressively!
-Swallow or spit out your excess saliva and keep chomping, bringing the pieces together!
-Drink a hot drink before and during. It shatters less intensely and comes back together easier if one's mouth is warm.
It takes a bit of technique to get from the shattered pieces into gum so don't feel bad if you have to try a few times!
Be assured that we personally test each batch to ensure that our customers receive the best chewing experience possible.
DID YOU KNOW?
It was the 1800's SPRUCE GUM that got the world's chewing gum market rolling! In 2023 the world wide chewing market was estimated to be $27.8 Billion!
Traditionally, spruce gum was chewed for aiding digestion as it really gets the saliva flowing.
Chewing a firmer piece of gum helps to strengthen your jaw muscles, thus giving you a more defined jawline!
Traditionally, spruce pitch was believed to have powerful antibacterial properties and was used to make an incredible salve (check out our AmberGoo Bomb!) that rivalled the healing abilities of raw honey and colloidal silver as seen in these studies, 1, 2.
*Primarily Spruce pitch with traces of Pine and Tamarack pitch. May contain traces of natural debris.
Potential choking hazard. Not intended for children under the age of 8. We don't recommend chewing if you have dentures, weak, or few teeth, or jaw issues. Do not chew if allergic to trees or wood. The initial shatter of the gum could be compared to a crispy, crunch crouton.
Discontinue use if experiencing any nausea, headaches, or any other negative effects.

My husband and I have purchased this a few times now and absolutely love it! We were looking for a gum that was natural and not full of chemicals and sugar and when we found this we were intrigued. The flavor is obviously very earthy/woody, but we love it! It did take a few tries to get used to how it shatters and needs to be put back together, but once we got the hang of it, it was a non-issue. We absolutely recommend and will purchase again when our stockpile runs out!
So gross
Fantastic gum! Hard to go back to the store bought stuff.
I’ve tried all the spruce gum that I could find online, and Amber Goo is the best compromise. There is a cheaper option that stays softer longer, but has a generally unpleasant taste that I can’t get past (guessing it’s the specific tree). There’s also an option that tastes even better than Amber Goo, but right at the start it’s very tough to chew and the quantity is much lower so it’s gone in no time.
So, Amber Goo is the best compromise. They claim 3 days of chewing, which I could see working if you only chew a piece like 3 hours a day at the very most, but by day three you'd be gnawin pretty hard. I can’t do it that way. I chew one piece for about 4 hours before it gets so tough that my jaws are sore. I don’t think I’m sensitive, either, I’ve chewed spruce daily for five months or so now. I think the 3 day claim would be truthful only if you chewed a piece for 30 min, put it away, and repeated that process a few times a day. Not unreasonable unkess youre like me and just always like to be chewing something.
I pay for the monthly subscription. If I chew two pieces a day like I like to do, I go through the tin in like a week and a half, and then it’s another 3 or so weeks til I get the next one. So I started breaking up the pieces in halves and I chew one half in the afternoon and one half in the evening. This method gets me to about 20 days before I’m out.
All this is to say that Amber Goo is great, but you’ve got to be sparing with how you go about it. It has great texture and flavor and reasonable longevity, but there’s not enough in the tin for a month if you’re actually a daily chewer. If it really lasted three days of comfortable chewing, it would be perfect. But as it is, I have to carefully ration out what I have so I can get 20 days’ worth, and I’m still left missing it for 10 days. I can’t justify spending 80 bucks a month on this habit. A tin and a half would feel more like an actual monthly allotment. Never would’ve imagined I’d be addicted to chewing spruce pitch, let alone writing a long review about it. Four stars for being the best compromise out there in the spruce game. I highly recommend you give it a try if ya like chewin on stuff.
Sometimes I find it exhausting for my jaw. Like a real work out. I'm only on my third piece. I got it for flying to Newfoundland. It is really good and I enjoy it a lot, the flavour and strength of the gum. I recommend this local Canadian product 100%.
